INTERVIEWER AT WORK
I have interviewed people in science and technology all over the world, via a combination of Skype, telephone and e-mail or by talking with people on location. Sometimes I do this for clients and sometimes simply because I want to as I enjoy it tremendously.
Here are some snaps of your interviewer in action on Skype. I was talking with a Dutch geologist on a two-year
assigment in Papua New Guinea at the time (2010).
Examples of people I have interviewed are Professor Sir Keith O'Nions (on location, in Oxford), engineers working for
Tebodin and ARCADIS in countries like Brazil, Chile and the Netherlands (via telephone and e-mail, and the latter on location), and Professor Robyn Hannigan
(in Boston, via Skype).
I took the above photograph during a short research cruise in the Dutch Haringvliet estuary, with the 35-foot RV Navicula, which is owned by NIOZ. It shows the hands of geochemists from Utrecht University digging in and help each other take mud samples from a sediment core just retrieved from the bottom of the estuary.
I offer (new) clients the opportunity of working on a 50/50 basis.
It means that you pay 50% up front. If you are not satisfied at the end, or even before, you do not have to pay the remaining 50%. I do this because I can view the world from your position and
